The Singapore-based startup reports that its iOS and Android game has garnered over 2 million installs in its first year, with over 185,000 daily active users as of April 2024 - with an engagement rate of over 7.8 million on social media platforms such as X (formerly Twitter). The startup says that 90% of its users are between the ages of 14 and 40 and 10% of its users are between 40 and 60.

Bubble Rangers is described as an endless runner game, with family-driven gameplay and simple mechanics that "allows anyone to pick it up and play it". More recently, in collaboration with Samsung Singapore, the company also unveiled new Samsung exclusive maps with fresh characters and perks such as skins, gems, invisibility shields, and more. 

As the company now builds towards a range of games through its ecosystem, it decided to incentivize early adopters by distributing its upcoming $BUBBLE token through an airdrop for players who participate in its flagship Bubble Rangers game. 

“Including Bubble Rangers, all our games are completely free-to-play, making all the NFT and blockchain-related stuff completely optional,” said Clement Chia in a statement.

“It started off with Imaginary Rides, a desktop game campaign that generated 6 million plays in over 3 weeks,” Clement Chia says. “But the more we thought about it the more we realized the growing interest from communities worldwide for family-friendly pick-up and play-it kind of games, and that was the big goal.”

Building on this momentum, Imaginary Ones soft-launched its first mobile game, Bubble Rangers, which saw over 250,000 downloads within months of its release. However, Bubble Rangers is just the beginning, as Imaginary Ones has announced plans to release six new games, each offering accessible gameplay designed to appeal to players of all ages.
